A new report from Axios shows the prevalence of sexual and dating harassment and violence among Indian teens.
Axios reports on the study by the Institute of Public Policy Research and the Institute for Policy Research at Jawaharlal Nehru University.
The report found that girls and women in the age group between 15 and 24 reported the highest levels of sexual harassment and abuse, with men and women at the same age reporting similar levels of abuse.
The report found a correlation between sexual harassment, dating violence and depression among women.
The researchers found that both men and the women in these groups reported experiencing similar levels the number of partners and dating incidents, with women reporting more instances of sexual violence.
They also found that the rates of depression and suicidal thoughts among women were similar to men.

It found that in the first two years of college, female students who reported more than two sexual partners reported depression at a higher rate than women who reported fewer than one partner.
